Work, studying and personal finance
In Finland studying is mostly free. Equal opportunities for education, regardless of family economic status, are guaranteed by societal support of students with benefits and in the form of a student loan. Many young people in higher education also work additional jobs while studying or during holidays to increase experience and earn savings. After graduating, it is time to apply for a longer-term job and take more responsibility for earning an income. Moving to your own apartment is an important phase in building independence.
