Time management is a skill that can be learned
Any productive activity will increase your sense of control in your life and contribute to your well-being. Things to do and activities don’t have to be anything big. Everyday basics like cooking, exercise, cleaning and taking care of yourself are all activities that will improve your well-being. Performing the basics creates a rhythm in everyday life and brings a pleasure that is almost unnoticed. Inclusion in the work and student community, as well as social relationships, enriches your life. Exercise and other hobbies give pleasure. It is good to be active in balance with your own resources, abilities and opportunities.

Everyone has the same number of hours a day, however, the ability to manage time and the habit of doing so varies from person to person. Prioritization is an important skill, that is, identifying which activity is most important, what cannot be left out, and what comes next on the list - which activities are necessary and which are just desirable. Sometimes, when there are a lot of tasks, you may have to give up something less important to concentrate on a more important task. However, during the day and week, there should also be time for leisure and relaxation. By managing your time, you take responsibility for your life and are in charge of your duties, which will increase self-respect and self-esteem. A calendar (paper or electronic) is a good help for time management.
If you find that time repeatedly runs out, you can record the time you spend on each task over a couple of days: find out where your time is running out. It is often difficult to start tasks, in which case we postpone them, or do something else instead of the task itself. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior only adds to the stress, as our business becomes more and more urgent. Don’t schedule too many tasks in one day: you can do more if you have time and can handle it, but having many remaining tasks just increases your own anxiety. You can also break up a large and "impossible" task into smaller, appropriately sized pieces, and have pauses while performing the task.

Delaying and postponing or procrastination cause stress.
If you get caught up in procrastination, instead of blaming yourself, turn it around: Luckily, I noticed my procrastination so I could change my behavior. I would set the clock to ring in 15 minutes so I had time to finish what I was doing, and then I would start the task. That way I did not spend too long procrastinating and it was not too late to start when the alarm rang!
Appropriate amount of stress
Everyday life sometimes involves stress. It is quite normal and even necessary, because without challenges and adversity we would not be able to appreciate good things. Moderate temporary stress can be positive; it increases alertness as well as concentration and performance, but excessive or long-lasting stress is harmful. Long-term stress makes everyday life feel heavy and tiring.

The more stressed you are, the more your anxiety increases, and the phrase “don’t stress” usually doesn’t help. That is why stress management, and the identification of stressors, are important for your own well-being. Stress is both a state of mind and a physiological response by the body, which is why both self-compassion and time management help not only in stress management, but also, for example, with the balance of sleep, exercise and eating. Positive changes in life, such as moving, changing jobs or studying, or a new social relationship, can also cause stress. Different people are stressed by different things, which is why some things which seem quite normal to you may raise stress levels for another person. If you cannot relieve the stress yourself, it is a good idea to talk to someone. Sharing positive things is good for both of you, and by sharing more difficult things, you get comfort and two heads to think of a solution instead of just one.
